Uga Halloowella, Hatton, Sri Lanka – opening January
Perched on a hilltop within a 252-acre tea estate in Sri Lanka’s historic central tea trails region, Uga Halloowella will offer six luxurious suites alongside impeccable indoor and al-fresco dining experiences, expansive lawns, and a large, tempting infinity pool. Located 146km from Colombo, Uga Halloowella is accessible via helicopter or by scenic drive and is on the doorstep of some of the region’s must-visit attractions, including the famous Pekoe Trail. Nestled within the cool climes and quiet hills of Hatton and overlooking the stunning Castlereagh Reservoir, the boutique hotel sits 1,444m above sea level. Curated guest experiences will offer the chance to explore the Reservoir and wider region, discovering Sri Lanka’s rich biodiversity and history.
Albert Hotel, Fredericksburg, Virginia – opening January
In the quaint town of Fredericksburg, the long-awaited Albert Hotel is set to open on 3 January 2025. The first new hotel in Fredericksburg since 2015 and the city’s first full-service hotel, the boutique property will feature 107 luxury rooms, a full-service spa, two bars and multiple dining options. Promising to be a destination for dining, food and beverage will be led by three times James Beard ‘Best Chef, Southwest’ winner, and includes the Restaurant at Albert Hotel, a counter service deli called The Pharmacy and Junebug’s BBQ.

The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid, Spain – opening MarchFormerly The Westin Palace, this icon has undergone a major transformation to embark on the hotel’s next chapter as The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel. Originally commissioned by King Alfonso XIII in 1912, the hotel is uniquely positioned in one of the city’s most historic districts, part of the recently designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Landscape of Light. The comprehensive restoration encompasses the entire property, from its 470 guestrooms to its shared spaces, blending its storied heritage with the needs of today’s travellers. An architectural landmark, the hotel’s facade has been meticulously restored, reinstating the colours and ornamental details of the hotel as it was originally inaugurated in 1912. 
Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection, Florence, Italy – opening March
High on the Florence skyline, Collegio alla Querce offers an unparalleled perspective of one of Italy’s most beloved cities, with sweeping views of both the Duomo di Firenze and the tranquil hills of Tuscany. Featuring a restored Italian Renaissance chapel and balcony lined theatre, 83 refined rooms, two restaurants, and a signature bar and cigar lounge in what was was — in its prior life as an academy — the headmaster’s office. Outdoors, explore the sweeping grounds to discover tiered Terraza and Baroque Gardens, as well as a pool and outdoor bar nestled amongst old growth olives and soaring oak trees.
Aman, Bangkok, Thailand – opening spring 2025
Nestled in the tropical gardens of the historic Nai Lert Park in the heart of Bangkok, the new Aman Bangkok will be home to 52 luxurious suites as well as an expansive 1,500-square-metre Aman Spa & Wellness centre in which to indulge. Drawing upon the rich tapestry of its historic location, the property promises to embody Aman’s long-standing commitment to celebrating the local culture and heritage, using natural textures and materials to create a contemporary urban sanctuary.
The Lake Como Edition, Lake Como, Italy – opening spring 2025
Nestled on the western shore of the prestigious Lake Como, this 19th-century gem is just a short drive from central Milan. The hotel features 145 guestrooms including two bespoke penthouse suites, a vibrant lobby bar, a unique floating pool and dining venues offering breathtaking views of Lake Como and the Bellagio mountains. Patina Osaka, Japan – opening April
Patina Osaka will be the second opening and first urban hotel under the sophisticated ‘Patina’ lifestyle brand from Capella Hotel Group, following the opening of Patina Maldives in 2021. With three distinct dining options, a bar and lounge, dedicated tea room, and immersive ‘Listening Room’, the 220-room hotel will impress with its unprecedented views of historic Osaka Castle and proximity to Naniwanomiya-Ato Park. Built in homage to Osaka’s effortless beauty and vibrancy, the 20-storey building is a collaboration between two award-winning Japanese architects and designers: Jun Mitsui & Associates and Strickland.

JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa, Greece – opening summer 2025
Spanning 100 acres of coastal beauty, JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa combines modern elegance with the island’s rich heritage across its 160 luxurious guestrooms, suites, and villas. Each accommodation offers direct sea access, while five dining venues draw inspiration from local flavours, featuring ingredients sourced from the JW Garden. Named for “Ro-kee”, the te reo Māori word for tranquil, Roki promises to be a luxurious lakefront escape, combining thoughtful touches and personalised hospitality. Situated in the alpine landscapes of Queenstown, guests can tour the best Central Otago wineries, take a heli adventure over the dramatic mountain ranges of the Southern Alps, or take to the slopes for a day of adrenaline-fuelled snow sports.
