Ready for the weekend
This weekend we're paying homage to women and their power. In the way of culture, Hollywood role model Hedy Lamarr is the star of cinematic biopic Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story, while Zebra Gallery is showcasing an exhibition dedicated to the work of some of the best artists of our time. And talking of celebrating important women, we've also collated London's tastiest cuisine offerings so you can make it a Mother's Day mum won't forget.
Sexy Fish, one of London's most glamorous dining hotspots, has just made the surprising sustainable switch with the launch of their brand new cocktail menu. Designed to delight both sweet and savoury fans, blended beverages on offer include Japanese Kir, mixed with Falernum and Koshu Grace White Wine, and the unconventional Neonach, a savoury serve of Hendrick’s Gin, Salmon, Basil, Fennel and Chilli Oil.
Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story
The fascinatingly colourful life of model, Hollywood actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr encompasses the exciting ingredients needed for a brilliant biopic – as director Alexandra Dean knew all too well. Featuring archive clips, interviews with the star and those who knew her best, and never-before-heard audio tapes, documentary Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story offers an interesting insight into the life of this prominent boundary-pushing star of the 1930s and 1940s.
